Florida's Hispanic community stands out from the national average (28.2 years) with a median age of 37.1 years — the highest among states with more than 1 million Hispanic residents.
This demographic maturity is driven by Florida's unique migration patterns: the state's Hispanic population includes a large proportion of Cuban Americans (many of whom arrived in earlier migration waves) as well as growing populations of Colombians, Venezuelans, and Puerto Ricans.
For marketers, this means Florida's Hispanic consumer base is more established, with higher household incomes, more homeownership, and different media consumption patterns than younger Hispanic markets like Texas (28.9) or Utah (23.5).
